Introduction

In this module, Laura Spring, MD, shares her thoughts on the evolving treatment landscape for HER2-positive and HER2-low early breast cancer (EBC), including key definitions, epidemiology trends, and current guideline recommendations.

This activity aims to bridge foundational concepts in HER2 biology with emerging clinical evidence, highlighting the role of HER2-directed therapies and antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) across disease settings. Dr Spring will review pivotal clinical trial data, considerations for adverse event (AE) management, and strategies to support equitable patient-centered care.

The key points discussed in this module are illustrated with thumbnails from the accompanying downloadable PowerPoint slideset, which can be found here or downloaded by clicking on any of the slide thumbnails in the module alongside the expert commentary.
