Agenda

Schizophrenia care is evolving quickly, and emerging muscarinic-targeted therapies are creating new opportunities to address challenges that often limit long-term treatment success. This practical, clinically focused session will review the latest evidence, highlight key considerations for patient selection, administration, and monitoring, and help APPs translate these advances into informed, patient-centered care.

Dopamine receptor blocking agents offer remarkable efficacy to patients with many psychiatric conditions, but include a risk of developing a movement disorder known as tardive dyskinesia, which is often unrecognized. Awareness of this condition is key to effective monitoring and treatment, preventing this routine adverse event from negatively impacting patient quality of life.

Get practical, case-based guidance on when to add on in MDD and how to navigate treatment selection, titration, monitoring, and follow-up with confidence. Focused on real-world application, this program delivers actionable strategies that can be used immediately in everyday clinical care.

When depression is the presenting complaint, bipolarity can hide in plain sight. This engaging session offers practical tools for screening, monitoring, patient communication, and next-step treatment decisions to help clinicians move from uncertainty to confident, coordinated care.

Many patients with major depression do not respond adequately to their first-line or even second-line trials of antidepressants, leading to treatment-resistant depression (TRD), a form associated with significantly greater symptom burden and functional impairment. Learn effective management of TRD with a personalized approach that integrates patient goals, shared decision-making, and a nuanced understanding of available pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic options.

Presented by Martin Guerrero Jr, MD, JD

Explore the presentation and biopsychosocial burden of tardive dyskinesia, as well as the goal of symptomatic remission. This program also presents data from a phase 4 study featuring patient-reported outcomes with a VMAT2 inhibitor.

This non-CME educational program is sponsored by Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. and managed by Decera Clinical Insights.
