Introduction

In this module, Robert Wong, MD, MS, FACG, FAASLD, explores the importance of properly addressing the response to first-line therapy for primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), including clinical guidelines for optimal evaluation timing, factors influencing assessment timing and treatment response, and how to use and interpret response criteria. Dr Wong also reviews patient cases to demonstrate best practices for evaluating the biochemical response to first-line PBC therapy.

The key points discussed in this module are illustrated with thumbnails from the accompanying downloadable PowerPoint slidesets, which can be downloaded here or by clicking any of the slide thumbnails in the module alongside the expert commentary.
