Case Follow-up
She starts Dato-DXd 6 mg/kg IV every 3 weeks. Per the prescribing information, she is counseled to use preservative‑free lubricant eye drops daily and a steroid‑containing mouthwash (eg, dexamethasone oral solution 0.1 mg/mL) starting with treatment and to hold ice chips/ice water in her mouth during the infusion.

After cycle 2, she reports mild mouth soreness. Examination shows erythema without ulcers, consistent with grade 1 oral mucositis/stomatitis. She is eating and drinking normally.

What would you recommend for the management of her grade 1 stomatitis while she is benefiting from therapy?
