Target Audience

This program is intended for physicians, registered nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who provide care for people living with HIV who experience adherence challenges.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify appropriate candidates for LA ART among people experiencing persistent viremia or significant structural, psychosocial, or mental health–related barriers that make daily oral adherence difficult or unsustainable.

  • Apply best practice strategies for the initiation and sustained use of LA ART in people facing adherence challenges, including strategies for maintaining continuity of care.
