Clinical Focus: When and How to Consider Long-Acting ART for People Facing Oral Adherence Challenges

Long-acting (LA) antiretroviral therapy (ART) is a pragmatic and effective solution for people living with HIV who struggle to maintain daily oral regimens and often remain viremic despite adherence support. The activities in this program translate emerging data and best practices into actionable strategies for LA ART implementation, including identifying candidates, initiating LA regimens, and supporting continuity of care in populations for whom traditional ART approaches have been insufficient.
