Redefining Success: Individualizing HBV Care Slides

Slideset

Antiviral therapies for hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection effectively suppress viral replication, but rarely lead to loss of HBsAg or functional cure. Recently, experts proposed a stepwise framework of individualized endpoints to redefine HBV treatment ranging from durable on-treatment suppression to partial cure to functional cure, based on patient-specific factors and biomarker profiles. These slides summarize the current state of HBV treatment and monitoring, and explore ways to individualize therapy goals with new and upcoming agents.
