Let’s Talk About Injection-Site Reactions in People Receiving Long-Acting HIV Agents

The vast majority of injection-site reactions (ISRs) with long-acting (LA) HIV agents are mild and self limited. However, lack of patient preparation may lead to anxiety, unnecessary discontinuations, and reduced treatment satisfaction. Recent data have also clarified differences in ISRs between cabotegravir and lenacapavir. Use this program to gain confidence communicating effectively about ISRs with LA HIV agents to support adherence, persistence, and a positive patient experience.
