Advancing Women’s Health: Improving Outcomes in Uncomplicated UTI and VVC

Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (uUTIs) and vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) are among the most frequently encountered infections affecting women and are often perceived by healthcare professionals as routine or “minor” infections. However, uUTIs and VVC cause a substantial and underappreciated burden on women’s physical and mental health and, from a clinical perspective, present ongoing challenges with balancing safe and effective treatment with proper antimicrobial stewardship. Recent advances have expanded the therapeutic landscape for uUTI and both acute and recurrent VVC. This program is designed to enhance understanding of the true burden of these conditions, reinforce accurate diagnosis and evidence-based management, and support appropriate integration of emerging therapies into clinical practice.
