Improving Outcomes with Oral SERDs in MBC: Case Challenges and Skill-Building Strategies for the Advanced Practice Provider

Endocrine resistance remains a key challenge in HR-positive/HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer, with acquired ESR1 mutations and other actionable alterations increasingly informing treatment selection after progression on endocrine therapy and CDK4/6 inhibition. This program examines practical strategies for advanced practice providers to incorporate risk assessment and biomarker testing, interpret evolving evidence for oral SERDs and other next-generation endocrine therapies, and apply these findings to individualized treatment planning. Case-based discussions will also address safety monitoring, patient counseling, and communication strategies to support informed decision-making and effective integration of emerging therapies into community practice.
