From Pathway to Patient: Making Sense of TYK2 Inhibition in Real-world Plaque Psoriasis Decisions

Despite advances in treatment, many patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis remain undertreated or experience challenges with adherence, tolerability, comorbidities, and achieving meaningful disease control. As oral treatment options continue to evolve, understanding the differences among targeted small molecules is increasingly important for individualized treatment decisions.

Join expert faculty for an interactive live/virtual webinar exploring TYK2 signaling in psoriasis and how selective TYK2 inhibition differs from broader JAK inhibition. Review emerging clinical trial data for oral small-molecule therapies and how efficacy, safety, and patient factors can inform real-world treatment decisions.

Goal Statement
The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with Psoriasis.

Target Audience
This activity is intended for dermatology HCPs, including dermatologists, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician associates (PAs), and other HCPs who care for patients with PsO.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review the unmet medical needs in the management of moderate to severe psoriasis, including significant under-treatment/nonadherence and its impact, comorbidities, and the need for more effective and well-tolerated treatments

  • Differentiate the efficacy, safety, and selectivity profiles of treatments targeting TYK2 versus JAK1, JAK2, and JAK3 signaling pathways in moderate to severe psoriasis

  • Summarize the recent and ongoing clinical trial data for current and emerging oral small molecule treatments for patients with moderate to severe psoriasis

  • Identify patients with psoriasis who would be appropriate candidates for oral small molecule treatment based on patient preference, efficacy, and safety
