The goal of this activity is to improve the competence, confidence, and performance of primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates in delivering evidence-based, patient-centered obesity care while cultivating a sustainable network of local obesity care leaders prepared to educate peers, advance best practices, and improve access to high-quality obesity management.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Apply recommended assessments that frame obesity as a chronic disease requiring timely treatment and long-term management

  • Formulate individualized treatment and monitoring plans for patients with obesity incorporating the latest evidence, guidelines, and patient-specific needs

  • Evaluate recent safety and efficacy evidence for new and emerging therapies for obesity

  • Implement health-centric, evidence-based strategies that support sustained obesity management and reduce obesity-related complications
