The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with Multiple System Atrophy.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify clinical and system-level factors that contribute to delayed diagnosis and ongoing disease burden in people with MSA

  • Apply guideline-directed diagnostic criteria for MSA into a differential diagnosis pathway in the real-world neurology practice

  • Explain the potential role of alpha-synuclein in the pathophysiology of MSA and how emerging evidence for mechanism-informed therapeutic strategies may improve future patient care
