Precision, Timing, and Teamwork in Melanoma Immunotherapy: Practical Strategies for Resectable and Metastatic Disease

Melanoma immunotherapy is rapidly evolving across resectable and metastatic disease, creating new challenges in neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatment selection, biomarker interpretation, personalized immunotherapy approaches, and management after PD-1 progression. This program explores practical, case-based strategies for applying emerging evidence, coordinating multidisciplinary workflows, individualizing treatment decisions, and improving recognition and management of immune-related adverse events in real-world melanoma care.

  • Evaluate the clinical efficacy and logistical requirements of individualized neoantigen therapy for high-risk resected melanoma, including the importance of high-quality tissue preparation by pathologists and managing patients while waiting for personalized therapy to be manufactured
  • Formulate evidence-based immunotherapy treatment plans for unresectable or metastatic melanoma, including patients demonstrating primary or secondary resistance to PD-1–targeted immunotherapy
  • Implement standardized multidisciplinary protocols for the early recognition and management of high-grade and chronic immune-related adverse events associated with melanoma immunotherapy
