Metabolic Connections: Rethinking MASLD, MASH, and Obesity in an Evolving Management Landscape

Understanding the substantial pathophysiological overlap among metabolic dysfunction–associated steatotic liver disease and steatohepatitis (MASLD/MASH), obesity, and other cardiometabolic disorders is essential to timely comprehensive management, including integration of treatments that target weight loss. This symposium will leverage small group case-based discussion and real-time expert feedback to equip HCPs to recognize underlying pathophysiology, implement screening and risk-stratification strategies, and translate new therapeutic evidence into practice to provide individualized care that addresses liver and overall metabolic health.

Presented for attendees of The Liver Meeting® 2026. This event/function is provided by Clinical Care Options, LLC dba Decera Clinical Education and supported by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. This is not an official event/function of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
