The goal of this activity is to enhance learners’ competence in integrating screening for and management of mental health conditions into their everyday care of people living with HIV.

Target Audience
This activity is intended for physicians, pharmacists, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals who provide care for people living with HIV.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Implement routine screening strategies within HIV care to ensure people with or at elevated risk of mental health conditions are diagnosed promptly

  • Integrate mental health treatment and support into HIV care provision, both within the HIV practice and through timely referrals

  • Reduce barriers to treatment persistence and engagement in care for people living with HIV experiencing mental health conditions
