The goal of this activity is to enhance learners’ competence and performance in implementing rapid/same-day PrEP, equipping them to identify appropriate candidates, follow guideline-supported initiation pathways, and integrate efficient workflows that reduce early losses in the PrEP care continuum.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Apply current IAS-USA and CDC guideline recommendations to determine when rapid or same-day PrEP is appropriate 

  • Implement efficient, safe, and sustainable clinical workflows that support same-day PrEP initiation across varied practice settings

  • Individualize the choice of PrEP modality—oral or long-acting injectable—during same-day clinical encounters
