This goal of this activity is to empower healthcare professionals to integrate evidence-based immune thrombocytopenia management strategies into their practice, ensuring that patients receive optimized, guideline-directed care that improves clinical outcomes.

Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of hematologists, nurse practitioners, physician associates, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who manage patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Integrate fatigue assessment tools into routine ITP evaluations and apply evidence-based fatigue management strategies

  • Implement corticosteroid-sparing approaches by utilizing alternative first-line and second-line therapies in appropriate patients

  • Identify candidates for treatment-free remission and develop monitoring plans for patients who may safely discontinue therapy

  • Apply holistic QoL assessments in clinical practice, incorporating patient-reported outcomes into ITP management decisions

  • Optimize using TPO-RAs and newer therapies by selecting appropriate patients and sequencing treatments effectively

American Board of Internal Medicine Maintenance of Certification
