The APP Advantage: Optimizing BCMA- and GPRC5D-Directed Bispecific Antibody Care in Multiple Myeloma

Goal statement
This activity aims to improve learners’ knowledge, confidence, and competence in applying current and emerging evidence on bispecific antibody therapy to patient-specific treatment discussions, toxicity prevention and management, care coordination, and supportive care for patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma.

Target Audience
This activity is intended for nurse practitioners, physician associates, nurses, clinical nurse specialists, and other healthcare professionals who care for patients with multiple myeloma in community oncology and hematology practices.

Learning Objectives 
Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Differentiate approved and emerging BCMA- and GPRC5D-directed bispecific antibody strategies for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma using target, line of therapy, prior treatment exposure, administration route, dosing schedule, monitoring requirements, and toxicity profile
  • Apply guideline- and REMS-aligned strategies to prevent, identify, and manage bispecific antibody–associated CRS, ICANS, cytopenias, infections, hypogammaglobulinemia, and GPRC5D-associated oral, dermatologic, nail, taste, and nutrition-related toxicities
  • Implement an APP-led care-coordination pathway for bispecific antibody initiation, step-up dosing and monitoring, delayed-dose or restart scenarios, emergency department handoffs, and longitudinal community follow-up
  • Use shared decision-making and teach-back counseling to help patients and caregivers understand expected benefits, monitoring requirements, toxicity reporting, infection prevention, and access-related barriers to bispecific antibody therapy

Optimizing Prevention and Management of Tumor Lysis Syndrome in Patients With Hematologic Malignancies: A Grand Rounds Workshop Series

Goal Statement
This activity aims to improve learners’ knowledge, confidence, and competence at preventing, identifying, and managing tumor lysis syndrome in patients with hematologic malignancies. 

Target Audience
This activity is intended for hematologists, oncologists, emergency room specialists, nurse practitioners, physician associates, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who care for patients at risk of developing tumor lysis syndrome.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Identify patients with hematologic malignancies at risk for developing TLS
  • Apply best practices for TLS prevention and management through evidence-based use of uric acid–lowering agents and supportive care
  • Optimize institutional protocols to standardize risk stratification, prophylaxis, treatment initiation, and shared decision-making in patients with hematologic malignancies at risk of TLS
  • Evaluate the potential clinical implications of the evolving evidence on TLS related to venetoclax, bispecific antibodies, CAR T-cells, and other emerging therapies

Improving Outcomes with Oral SERDs in MBC: Case Challenges and Skill-Building Strategies for the Advanced Practice Provider

Goal Statement 
This activity aims to equip learners with the education, skills, and resources needed to employ shared decision-making and communication strategies to improve adherence, manage treatment-related adverse events, and counsel patients initiating or switching to oral SERD therapy.

Target Audience 
This program is intended for nurse practitioners, physician associates, clinical nurse specialists, and advanced degree nurses who care for patients with HR-positive/HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Assess for ESR1 mutations and other actionable genetic alterations in patients with progressive or recurrent ER-positive/HER2-negative MBC consistent with current evidence and local expert guidance
  • Integrate recent evidence for next-generation SERDs into care for patients with endocrine-resistant ER-positive/HER2-negative MBC, considering patient/disease factors, evidence, and local expert guidance
  • Appraise emerging evidence for novel next-generation SERDs and note clinical implications for management of ER-positive/HER2-negative MBC
