Your CPD cycle follows five steps

Reflect → Plan→ Learn → Evaluate → Apply

Complete each stage in order

1. Reflect

Purpose: Identify your learning needs

In this stage you will:

  • Assess your current knowledge, skills, or performance
  • Identify practice gaps
  • Consider areas where improvement would benefit your patients or professional role

2. Plan

Purpose: Create clear, measurable goals and select learning activities

In this stage you will:

  • Build your ACPE learner contract by reflecting on your practice and setting measurable SMART goals
  • Submit your learning plan and reflection for review.

Once your plan is approved, you may begin the Learn stage.

3. Learn

Purpose: Select and complete your educational activities

In this stage you will:

  • Select and complete a minimum of 3 learning activities that align with your SMART Goals.
    • You can pick any activities on the Decera Clinical Education website, including live events
  • Completion of each activity will appear under “In Progress Activities/Events” in your CPD plan
  • Submit the required Mid-Cycle Feedback form about halfway through your learning activities to reflect on your progress

Mid-Cycle Feedback helps you:

  • Reflect on progress
  • Identify barriers
  • Adjust your learning plan, if needed

After completing a minimum of 3 activities and submitting the Mid-cycle feedback form, you will move to Evaluate.

4. Evaluate

Purpose: Reflect on what you learned

In this stage you will:

  • Reflect how the learning impacted your knowledge or competence
  • Describe changes in understanding or planned practice adjustments

After completing and submitting your reflection in the “Reflection Text” section, you will move on to Apply.

5. Apply

Purpose: Document how you implemented your learning in practice

In this stage you will:

  • Describe how you applied what you learned
  • Identify any changes your implemented
  • Note outcomes, observations, or remaining challenges
  • (Optional) Upload supporting documentation.

This step demonstrates how learning translated into real-world impact.

Once submitted, your CPD cycle is complete.
