Target Audience

This activity is intended for pulmonology nurse practitioners and physician associates and other APPs, such as those practicing in primary care, who are engaged in the care of patients with severe asthma.

Program Learning Goal

The activity of this educational program is to improve the knowledge and competence of nurse practitioners and physician associates learners in managing patients with severe asthma.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Appraise the burden of disease and health disparities impacting patients with severe asthma

  • Apply guideline recommendations to diagnose and assess patients with severe asthma

  • Integrate disease pathophysiology, key evidence, and guideline recommendations into treatment decisions for patients with severe asthma

  • Empower patients with severe asthma to collaborate in their healthcare through shared decision-making and patient education

Participation in this self-study activity should be completed in approximately 0.5 hour. To successfully complete this activity and receive credit, participants must follow these steps during the period from December 11, 2025, through December 10, 2026:
