Assessment/Management of Agitation in Alzheimer’s Disease AAD for HCPs

PDF

Agitation in Alzheimer’s disease can be difficult for HCPs to identify but contributes to functional decline, safety concerns, healthcare utilization, and caregiver burden. This practical resource reviews how to recognize and assess agitation using consensus criteria and validated tools, distinguish it from other causes of behavioral change, and apply nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic management strategies across the course of Alzheimer’s disease.
