Test First, Treat Right: Advancing ROS1 Detection and Targeted Therapy Selection in NSCLC

Video

In this on-demand webcast, experts discuss how advances in biomarker testing and targeted therapy are reshaping the management of ROS1-rearranged non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Through a practical review of the latest clinical evidence, experts explore strategies for identifying ROS1 fusions, selecting and sequencing available and emerging ROS1-targeted therapies, and balancing efficacy, intracranial activity, and treatment-related toxicities when individualizing care. The discussion also examines approaches to disease progression and acquired resistance, including the ROS1 G2032R mutation and other on- and off-target resistance mechanisms. Learners will gain insights into how molecular testing, CNS involvement, resistance profiles, and patient-specific considerations can be integrated into treatment decisions across the continuum of care for patients with ROS1-rearranged NSCLC.

Target Audience

Oncologists, nurse practitioners, physician associates, pharmacists, nurses, and other HCPs caring for patients with non-small-cell lung cancer or thoracic cancer.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to improve the learners’ knowledge, confidence, and competence in caring for patients with thoracic malignancies who are candidates for fusion protein–targeted therapy.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Implement appropriate molecular testing strategies to accurately identify patients with NSCLC harboring ROS1 rearrangements and other actionable oncogenic drivers

  • Select evidence-based targeted therapies for patients with ROS1-positive NSCLC based on biomarker findings, disease characteristics, current clinical data, and established treatment guidelines

  • Develop and optimize multidisciplinary workflows that support timely comprehensive biomarker testing and accurate detection of ROS1 rearrangements in patients with NSCLC
