This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of medical oncologists, nurse practitioners, oncology nurses, physician associates, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals caring for patients with breast cancer.
This activity aims to improve learners’ knowledge, confidence, competence, and performance in optimizing clinical outcomes with individualized adjuvant therapy selection and supportive care for patients with high-risk HR-positive/HER2-negative early breast cancer who are eligible for adjuvant CDK4/6 inhibitors.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Recommend the optimal adjuvant therapy for each patient with high-risk HR-positive/HER2-negative EBC taking into consideration recurrence risk, patient/disease factors, evidence, expert recommendations, and patient preferences
Apply shared decision-making and communication strategies to support patient adherence and persistence on adjuvant CDK4/6 inhibitor–based therapy to maximize therapeutic benefit
Implement effective monitoring, patient education, and communication strategies to ensure prompt identification of toxicities related to adjuvant CDK4/6 inhibitor–based therapy
Develop interprofessional team processes and workflows to optimally manage treatment-related toxicities and support patient quality of life on adjuvant CDK4/6 inhibitor–based therapy
