Optimizing Patient-Centered Care for Relapsed/Refractory CLL With the Latest Evidence and Guideline Updates: Precision Education With Real-world Insights

Video

In this on-demand webcast, an expert reviews contemporary treatment strategies for relapsed/refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL), with an emphasis on how prior therapy, mechanisms of resistance, comorbidities, disease characteristics, and patient preferences inform treatment sequencing. The faculty examines evidence supporting covalent and noncovalent BTK inhibitors, BCL-2 inhibitor–based regimens, and retreatment approaches; discusses pivotal trials including MURANO, ELEVATE-RR, ALPINE, and the BRUIN CLL studies; and addresses the evolving role of pirtobrutinib and CAR T-cell therapy for patients with increasingly treatment-resistant disease. The activity also reviews practical management of treatment-related toxicities, including tumor lysis syndrome, bleeding, atrial fibrillation, hypertension, and infusion reactions, as well as strategies to prevent disease flare when transitioning between therapies. Finally, emerging approaches such as BTK degraders and bispecific antibodies are considered alongside patient-centered factors, providing learners with a framework for individualizing therapy across successive lines of CLL/SLL treatment.
