Improving Outcomes With Oral SERDs in MBC: Case Challenges and Skill-Building Strategies for the Advanced Practice Provider

Downloadable slides on the evolving role of oral next-generation estrogen receptor (ER)–directed therapies in ER-positive/HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer (MBC). The slides review mechanisms of endocrine resistance, the clinical significance of acquired ESR1 mutations, and strategies for genomic and ctDNA testing, including when to test, how to interpret results, and when additional pathology input may be needed. Key clinical trial data for oral SERDs and other ER-directed therapies, including elacestrant, imlunestrant, camizestrant, and vepdegestrant, are presented alongside guidance on treatment selection, adverse event recognition and management, dose modifications, drug interactions, monitoring, patient counseling, and adherence.
