Target Audience

This activity is intended for medical oncologists and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma and biliary tract cancer.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Apply guideline-concordant HER2 testing and interpretation strategies for GEA and BTC, including appropriate integration of pathology results with PD-L1 status and broader molecular profiling

  • Critically evaluate newly presented and recently reported clinical trial data in HER2-positive GEA and BTC, distinguishing established standards from investigational approaches

  • Individualize treatment selection and sequencing for patients with HER2-positive GEA and BTC based on disease setting, prior therapy, biomarker profile, comorbidities, toxicity risk, and patient goals

  • Implement proactive monitoring and mitigation strategies for clinically relevant toxicities associated with HER2-directed therapies

  • Identify appropriate patients for referral to clinical trials evaluating novel HER2-directed agents and combinations in GI malignancies
