Target Audience

This educational activity is intended for pulmonology nurse practitioners and physician associates, as well as other APPs, such as those practicing in primary care, who are engaged in the care of patients with fibrosing ILDs.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Differentiate fibrosing ILDs from other common respiratory conditions based on key clinical, radiographic, and functional features to reduce diagnostic delays

  • Apply patient-centered strategies, including multidisciplinary collaboration and shared decision-making, to optimize treatment selection and ongoing management of fibrosing ILDs

  • Integrate guideline-directed therapies and emerging clinical data to individualize treatment plans for patients with fibrosing ILDs across disease stages

  • Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams—including radiology, rheumatology, and pulmonology—to streamline diagnostic pathways for suspected fibrosing ILDs
