LATA: Switch to LA CAB + RPV vs DTG/3TC/TDF in Adolescents Living With HIV

In this open-label study of adolescents living with HIV in South Africa, every-8-week injectable LA CAB plus RPV was superior to daily oral DTG/3TC/TDF for the primary outcome of confirmed virologic rebound through Week 96. LA CAB plus RPV was well tolerated with few treatment discontinuations, and no new safety concerns were identified. Participants reported that LA CAB plus RPV was easier than daily oral ART.
