ImPrEP CAB Brasil: Early Detection of HIV With LA CAB PrEP

How common are discordant HIV test results in people receiving LA CAB PrEP, and how common is HIV acquisition? While receiving LA CAB PrEP in the ImPrEP study in Brazil, only 14 of 1220 participants had reactive test results using commercial HIV tests. Further testing with highly sensitive research assays found no HIV-1 antibodies, DNA, or RNA, and none acquired HIV.
