The US HIV Epidemic: Firm Foundations in HIV Screening, Prevention, and Treatment

As new HIV infections occur disproportionately among communities that already face barriers to healthcare access, healthcare professionals in diverse frontline settings must recognize that they have a key role in HIV screening and prevention. Use this module to learn who can and should integrate HIV testing and offer HIV prevention (or have a robust referral plan) and understand the fundamentals of HIV treatment.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for medical students, residents, fellows, and early-stage clinicians, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists, who currently have limited experience in HIV treatment and prevention and wish to improve their competence in incorporating best practices into their patient care, today and in the future.
