Target Audience

This activity is intended for US healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, nurses, and others, involved in the care of adults in need of hepatitis A and/or B vaccination.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to improve learners’ knowledge and competence in overcoming barriers to viral hepatitis vaccination.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Incorporate knowledge of hepatitis A and B risk factors and disease burden into patient counseling

  • Apply current evidence-based hepatitis A and B vaccine recommendations to patient care

  • Formulate strategies to overcome contemporary challenges and enhance uptake of hepatitis A and B vaccines in eligible populations
