The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Design antibiotic regimens for acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections in patients at risk for drug-resistant pathogens

  • Optimize antibiotics for adults with acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections and high risk for Clostridioides difficile superinfections

  • Select outpatient antibiotic therapy for complicated acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections to maximize safety and efficacy
