A Critical Review of Influenza Vaccine Clinical Data, Hesitancy, and Patient Pearls: Slides

Slideset

A key fact about the influenza vaccine is that its effectiveness reflects population-level protection. Even if the vaccine is only moderately effective for a given season, vaccination is associated with substantial improvement in outcomes. However, many vaccine-hesitant patients do not perceive themselves to be at risk for severe disease and may not realize that being immunized protects vulnerable people in their community. Download these slides and stream the accompanying Medical Minute to learn to proactively address vaccine hesitancy with evidence-based discussions and individualize vaccine selection based on age, risk factors, lifestyle, convenience, and patient preferences.
