Target Audience

This program is intended for healthcare professionals practicing in the United States who care for patients at risk for cognitive decline, including primary care practitioners, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician associates (PAs), general neurologists, geriatricians, as well as a secondary audience of psychiatrists and OB-GYNs.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Apply evidence-informed strategies, including emerging blood-based biomarkers, to support early detection and assessment of cognitive impairment in aging patients

  • Initiate compassionate, patient-centered conversations about cognitive health with patients during routine wellness and chronic disease management visits, including consideration of age-related concerns

  • Design a patient-specific management plan to address modifiable risk factors for cognitive decline during patient visits, using a holistic, evidence-informed approach that considers age, lifestyle, medical, and psychosocial determinants
