  • This program will explore the evolving evidence surrounding obesity as a high‑impact comorbidity in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and its impact on disease outcomes, treatment response, and quality of life. Through case‑based discussion, learners will examine the relationship between IBD and obesity, review recommended screening and management strategies, and evaluate available and emerging pharmacologic options. The session will also emphasize patient‑centered communication and multidisciplinary collaboration to support individualized care.

Learners will review recent therapeutic advances and explore how clinical trial data, real‑world evidence, and current guidelines can inform patient‑centered treatment selection and sequencing. Interactive cases will highlight treat‑to‑target approaches, shared decision‑making, and timely therapy adjustment to optimize long‑term outcomes.
