This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, physician associates, pulmonologists, and other healthcare professionals caring for patients with small-cell lung cancer.
This activity aims to improve learners’ knowledge, confidence, and competence to optimize the care of veterans with SCLC.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Appraise emerging clinical data evaluating the use of novel therapies and combinations in veterans with SCLC
Synthesize current recommendations, approvals, clinical data, and patient factors to develop individualized treatment strategies for veterans with limited-stage and extensive-stage SCLC
Develop individualized care plans to identify, mitigate, and manage adverse events associated with current and emerging treatments for SCLC
Implement strategies supporting equitable and timely initiation of therapy, access to novel therapies, and supportive care in underserved veteran patients
