Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other HCPs who provide care for people living with HIV. 

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to improve learners’ understanding of the perspectives of transgender people on their healthcare priorities and the place of HIV among them, and their competence in configuring HIV care services to best meet the needs of transgender people living with HIV.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the spectrum of healthcare needs and priorities experienced by transgender people and the place of HIV among them

  • Implement person-centered and gender-affirmative strategies to improve linkage to HIV care and retention in care for transgender people living with HIV
